Eligibility Criteria
- In rural areas, the total monthly family income must be ₹10,000 or less.
- In urban areas, it must be ₹12,000 or less.
- The family must have at least one member with a valid Rice Card.
- The family should own less than 3 acres of wet land, or less than 10 acres of dry land, or less than 10 acres in total.
- Families owning a car, tractor, or taxi are allowed.
- But families that own any other four-wheeler vehicle are not eligible.
- The household should have used less than 300 electricity units per month (on average) during the last 12 months.
- Families owning municipal property of 1000 square feet or more are not eligible.
- If any family member is working for the Central or State Government, Public Sector Units (PSUs), or receives a government pension, the family cannot apply.
- Sanitation workers and low-income government employees (earning less than ₹10,000 in rural or ₹12,000 in urban areas) are still eligible.
- If any family member pays income tax, the family is not eligible.
- The family should be listed in the State Household Database.
- If the child is listed but the parent or guardian is not, field verification will be done to check eligibility.
- Children should be studying in Class I to Class XII in Government schools, Private aided or unaided schools, Government-approved junior colleges
- Students enrolled in ITI, Polytechnic, IIIT (RGUKT), or other fee-waiver programs are not eligible.
- Children without parents or living on the streets, and registered through NGOs, can be considered eligible after verification.
- The mother’s bank account must be linked with Aadhaar and verified by NPCI to receive Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
- The student must have at least 75% attendance in the current academic year to continue receiving the benefit next year.
- If a student drops out or has less than 75% attendance, the financial support will stop.
- Assistance for new admissions will be considered only after the 2025–26 academic year enrollment is complete.
